Advanced Category Excluder
September 4th, 2008I use Twitter Tools by Alex King to produce my Daily Twitter Digest. I had The Twitter Posts appearing on their own separate page and not on the front page using this method from the Wordpress Codex. Unfortunately I found the posts would appear in my RSS Feed and they’d take up one count from my “max posts to display” setting. If I didn’t post for the number of max post days then the only posts to “appear” would be Twitter ones which were hidden. So I’d have a blank front page. Which isn’t good.
Come to the rescue Advanced Category Excluder. OK it’s a bit of a mouthful but it’s a plugin that hides a defined category from any areas of the site I wish including the Front Page and RSS Feed. It does exactly what it says on the tin. Biggup your chest nuff respeck!
The plugin can also be found on the author’s site.
Of course, that’s provided no-one else has a sweeter solution!
