This year’s attempt to resurrect my website.
It’s the middle of June 2020. The Coronavirus known as Covid-19 is wreaking havoc throughout the world and everything is just a little bit west of bonkers.
In order to keep my sanity I’ve decided—once again—to revive my website here at Caramboo Dot Com. I’ve owned the domain for a looooooong time and it’s been an active website then an abandoned one in equal measure. Well, to be fair, mostly abandoned.
I’ll write about things that interest me, such as: photography, videography, computers, software, cooking, music, politics, sport, TV, films etc.
I don’t profess to be an expert in any particular area, I just have diverse interests. If I turn my attention to something, I usually do it obsessively, much to my wife’s annoyance, probably.
As part of the process I’m going to use the static website builder Hugo. The site’s theme is built from a blank template; I followed a tutorial to re-familiarise myself with the software (I played around with Hugo a few years ago).
The site will be under constant development and may change its look and feel often. I like playing with stuff.
So there you have it, let’s see where we end up, hopefully without upsetting anyone too much.
Repeat after me Dave, no writing when you’ve had a couple of beers. I mean it.
