A Year of Fun and Changes#
Back in March, I revived this blog with aspirations of writing more consistently. However, life had other plans, and this year has been a whirlwind of interesting events and personal transitions.
Family Milestones#
The past year has been marked by significant family moments. My eldest daughter Lisa got married, which was a really beautiful day. We also enjoyed several memorable trips:
- Returning to the iconic Glastonbury Festival
- Attending Kayleigh’s wedding in Liverpool
- Babysitting Dylan in Glossop while Becca and Ryan went to Alyssa’s wedding.
- Relaxing in the picturesque Rhosneigr on Anglesey
- Visiting friends Phill and Lauren in Shrewley (while my wife Lisa was on daughter Lisa’s hen-do in Benidorm)
Note: Yes, having a wife and daughter both named Lisa can get confusing!
Personal Decisions#
On a more reflective note, I made the difficult decision to end my involvement with Oldham RLFC. After investing considerable time and effort into the club, I found myself deeply disappointed with how things unfolded. I plan to tell the full story in an upcoming post.
Looking Ahead#
As for 2025, I’m recommitting to writing on this blog. I’m exploring ways to make content more dynamic, including potentially introducing short-form posts either as a new blog feature or by embedding content from other platforms. It’s a work in progress.
Stay tuned!
