Danny Langtree re-signed for Oldham RLFC today.
The first hint that something was afoot broke on Twitter with the news that he’d left Hull FC.
Danny came to Oldham from the St Helens academy system and spent seven seasons with the Roughyeds. He became a fans’ favourite but when the opportunity came along for a shot at Super League with the Airly Birds, nobody at Oldham begrudged him that opportunity.
Things didn’t work out as expected and Danny wasn’t given the chance to prove himself in the first team. Stupid Hull but thanks anyway.
I can’t wait to see him back out on the field, maybe against Hunslet on Good Friday. Ha! Maybe :)
Here are Danny’s tries from the 2018 season. He was Oldham’s top try scorer.
I created the video in Kdenlive, most of the home footage was by me together with all of the away photography. Most of the home photography was by Dave ‘Murgy’ Murgatroyd
